A year ago the Exxon Valdez tanker released 10.8 million gallons of oil, now three years later the remaning oil is unknown and the public of Alaska has raised concerns of the possible continuation of the oil on humans. Buried oil is of greater concern than surface oil. There is such a concern for buried oil because it can become dormant for many years. The possibility of continuing low level chronic effects of the Exxon Valdez oil spill seem very real to this day.
